What does it cost in production?
The components of the system consist of simple led and web camera technology and a pen with a dedicated camera sensor can therefore be produced at a cost we know can undercut any other solution on the market on BOM costs and final retail price. We are currently looking for funding to productize the technology and have a clear idea of productization costs and roadmap. Exact information about BOM and productization is available to parties seriously interested in investing and/or licencing the technology.
What is your estimate for how much more development in terms of time and cost to get to production readiness?
The core technology as in a pre-production prototype is now well tried and tested and a simple version of a pen product using an off the shelf camera or the camera in a laptop could be put together in a few months with less than 100k dollars. For a more versatile and higher grade solution, we envision to port the detection algorithm onto a small processing chip embedded into a dedicated tracking camera, whose development we estimate to require at least twice the amount of time and money compared to the simple version.
Can we order a demonstration unit?
Demonstration units are available to parties seriously interested in licencing the technology. Please get in contact to discuss. We do require the signing of a demonstration evaluation licence, which grants 1 year of company internal usage for a payment of 10,000 dollars.
Do you have patents on this?
Patents on this technology are pending in Japan, US, Europe, Canada and India. More information is available to parties seriously interested in licencing the technology.
Who owns this technology?
HOLOS technology is owned by the company Intelligent Earth (Isle of Man) Ltd. which is owned 100% by the 3 founders and developers.
What kind of deal are you looking for?
We are looking to sell an exclusive licence for the application of HOLOS technology in the projector/interactive whiteboard market to a major player in this market. However we are flexible and open to any reasonable deal/offer.
